Beef Tallow — Usage Guide

About This Product

Our Beef Tallow is a double-strained, extremely refined premium rendered beef fat, sold in a 4oz bar. A high-heat, shelf-stable cooking fat with a clean, rich flavour — great for frying, searing, and roasting.

How to Use It

  1. Scoop or slice off the amount you need — tallow is solid at room temperature.
  2. Melt in a pan or pot over medium heat before adding food, or use it in place of butter/oil for searing steaks, roasting vegetables, or deep-frying.
  3. Tallow has a high smoke point (around 250°C/480°F), making it well suited to high-heat cooking.
  4. Store in a cool, dark place, or refrigerate for longer shelf life. It will re-solidify when cooled.

Chef's Tip

A spoonful of tallow in a hot pan before searing steak adds a rich, beefy crust you won't get from oil alone.
