About This Product
Apple wood chunks for smoking — a mild, slightly sweet smoke that pairs especially well with pork and poultry.
How to Use It
- For a charcoal grill or smoker, add a few dry wood chunks directly onto hot coals, or soak them in water for 30 minutes first if you want a slower, longer smoke.
- For a gas grill, place chunks in a smoker box or a foil packet with holes poked in it, and set over direct heat.
- Start with 2–3 chunks and add more as needed — a little goes a long way with fruit woods.
Chef's Tip
Apple wood is one of the mildest smoking woods — great for a first smoking project, or anytime you don't want the smoke to overpower a delicate cut like chicken or pork chops.
