How to Reheat It

  1. Thaw in the refrigerator if frozen — never at room temperature.
  2. Cover and reheat in a 160°C/325°F oven until heated through, about 20–25 minutes depending on portion size, or reheat gently on the stovetop over medium heat, stirring occasionally, about 8–10 minutes.
  3. A microwave works for single portions — cover and stir partway through for even heating.

Safe Reheating Temperature

What Internal Temp
Pre-cooked/prepared foods 74°C / 165°F

Reheat leftovers and prepared foods to at least 74°C/165°F throughout, checked with a digital thermometer. Only reheat once. (Source: Health Canada safe cooking temperature guidelines.)

Chef's Tip

Reheat only the portion you plan to eat — repeated reheating increases food-safety risk and dries the dish out.
