Shepherd's Pie — Reheating Guide

About This Product

Our HQ Meats Shepherd's Pie is a hearty, made-in-house classic — seasoned ground meat and vegetables topped with creamy mashed potato.

How to Reheat It

  1. Thaw in the refrigerator if frozen — never at room temperature.
  2. Cover and reheat in a 160°C/325°F oven until heated through (timing varies by size/portion), or microwave individual portions, stirring/checking partway through.
  3. Uncover for the last few minutes in the oven if you want the potato top to brown.

Safe Reheating Temperature

What Internal Temp
Pre-cooked/prepared foods 74°C / 165°F

Reheat leftovers and prepared foods to at least 74°C/165°F throughout, checked with a digital thermometer. Only reheat once. (Source: Health Canada safe cooking temperature guidelines.)

Chef's Tip

Reheat only the portion you plan to eat — repeated reheating increases food-safety risk and dries the dish out.
