Vita Veloce — Brewing Guide

About This Coffee

Vita Veloce is a bold, full-bodied dark roast blending beans from Brazil, Nicaragua, and Sumatra into one rich cup. Sourced from Lagoinha (Brazil), Matiguás and Matagalpa (Nicaragua), and Takengon (Sumatra) at elevations of 950–1,258m, using natural and semi-washed processing. Notes of molasses, plum, and dark fruit come through in every brew — built for drinkers who like their coffee strong.

How to Brew It

  1. Grind fresh, right before brewing — whole bean coffee loses aromatics quickly once ground.
  2. Use filtered water and measure your coffee and water by weight for consistency.
  3. For drip or pour-over, use a medium grind; for French press, a coarse grind; for espresso, a fine grind.
  4. Because this is a dark roast, grind slightly coarser than usual for your method to avoid over-extraction and bitterness.
  5. Brew, then serve promptly — coffee is best within 20–30 minutes of brewing.

Recommended Brew Ratios

Method Ratio (Coffee:Water) Water Temp
Drip / Pour-Over 1:16 90–96°C / 195–205°F
French Press 1:15 93–96°C / 200–205°F
Espresso 1:2 (18g in / 36g out) 90–94°C / 195–202°F

Ratios are a starting point (SCA-standard guidelines) — adjust to taste.

Storage Tip

Keep beans in an airtight container, away from light, heat, and moisture. For best flavour, use within 2–3 weeks of the roast date.
